  • The main aim of this study was to present Nietzsche’s philosophical theory about the term agon (αγών) in the ancient Greek culture of the classic era and within this to analyze the function of athletics as the ultimate expression of agon (αγών) as well. Finally, based on the above, it aimed to present the enduring power of nietzschean thinking on the value of the ancient Greek culture.
