Ροζ πανσέληνος: Την Τρίτη το φωτεινό φεγγάρι της Ανοιξης

Το βράδυ της Τρίτης 7/4, ο ουρανός θα φωτιστεί από την ροζ πανσέληνο. Πρόκειται την πρώτη πανσέληνο της Ανοιξης, η οποία πήρε το όνομά της από τους Ιθαγενείς της Αμερικής και το χρώμα ενός άγριου λουλουδιού που φυτρώνει την ίδια εποχή.Το χρώμα της πανσελήνου, ωστόσο, θα είναι σχετικά πορτοκαλί, καθώς η ατμόσφαιρα της Γης «διαλύει» τα μπλε και πράσινα κύματα φωτός και αφήνει μόνο τα κόκκινα, τα πορτοκαλί και τα κίτρινα.

Η πανσέληνος θα φαίνεται 30% πιο φωτεινή και 14% πιο μεγάλη, καθώς θα έρθει πολύ κοντά στη Γη, όπως και το φεγγάρι του Μαρτίου. Η ελλειπτική τροχιά της σελήνης σημαίνει ότι το σημείο που θα πλησιάσει την Γη θα είναι περίπου στα 220.000 μίλια. Οι αστρονόμοι αναφέρουν ότι αυτή θα είναι η δεύτερη από τις συνολικά τρεις φέτος αλλά αναμένεται να είναι η πιο εντυπωσιακή.
