2025 STEM Discovery campaign

Thanks to the encouragement and seminars held by our English language advisor and Euroepana ambassador Sophronia Maravelaki, we led a thought-provoking educational project titled “What’s in a Dress? A Story of Fashion—High and Low, Fast and Slow.” Designed for first-year high school students, this initiative explored the complex world of fast fashion through a multidisciplinary lens—blending art history, social studies, environmental education, and English language learning.

We critically examined fashion’s transformation over time. We compared historic high fashion sketches from Europeana with our students’ representations of the social and environmental impact of modern fashion. The use of Padlet allowed us to collaboratively build a digital “chain story,” weaving together all perspectives into a unified narrative. This storytelling process offered deep insights into beauty, sustainability, consumption, and cultural shifts.

The project culminated in a video created on Canva (https://www.canva.com/design/DAGl_i5hlFU/0H3ZepKO-29bNoQzGJrR7g/edit?utm_content=DAGl_i5hlFU&utm_campaign=designshare&utm_medium=link2&utm_source=sharebutton), giving new shape to our collective story and enhancing its impact through visual and narrative flow. Here’s the  story on the Scientix website: https://www.scientix.eu/campaigns/sdc/my-activities/activity?id=13772
