Today we had a wonderful day at All Day School! It was Jack ‘o Lantern day!

Classes E’ & ST’ talked to the younger ones (C’ & D’) about Halloween and its symbol, the pumpkin. Then they organized a competition: they asked them to design a face for a Jack ‘o Lantern on a piece of paper and voted for the best.  The girls’ design was the winner and Anna and Konstantina (ST’) transferred the design on the pumpkin. Class ST’ had read about how to curve a pumpkin on an old issue of our magazine, so they knew exactly what to do! After that I cut the face features and all of the kids enjoyed taking out the seeds. When the pumpkin was turned into a Jack ‘o Lantern, we drew the curtains, turned off the lights and lit a candle inside. It was magic!

The kids decided to make a recipe out of the leftover pumpkin and a video on how to curve it! Looking forward to it!
