Sound sculptures – Ηχητικά Γλυπτά: ακούστε να δείτε

The project was a cross-curricular experiential approach to art and music. The pupils worked with the teachers of Music, Art and English to become acquainted with different forms of art and its relation to sound.

We visited the Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art and attended an educational programme. We were introduced to the work of Takis and sound sculptures.

We learnt vocabulary concerning musical instruments  (https://www.englishwsheets.com/music.html)

We talked about different forms of art worksheet

and different forms of painting  (found at http://www.thesmartteacher.com/exchange/resource/819/Paintings_are )

We wrote visual poems on different forms of art

We learnt more about the work of Jackson Pollock

and Andy Warhol  (listening activity found at https://en.islcollective.com/resources/printables/worksheets_doc_docx/andy_warhols_biography_-_listening_task/adjectives/85916 )

We searched on the internet and found more sound sculptures around the world. Look at http://www.tilestwra.com/8-ichitika-glipta-pou-pezoun-mousiki-me-ti-dinami-tis-fisis/

Aren’t they amazing?
