Before we meet in class

• Look at the picture dictionary (εικονολεξικό) about animals and the places where they live at https://photodentro.edu.gr/v/item/ds/8521/6355 and study the words.
• Then do the activity at https://learningapps.org/watch?v=peww73erj23 . Put the animals in the place where they live (farm – forest – water). You can repeat the activity as many times as you want (Μπορείς να την επαναλάβεις όσες φορές θέλεις).When we get back to the classroom you can ask me any questions you have.

  Activity 1

  To celebrate the World Environment Day on June 5th your school organizes an Environmental Day for pupils from Erasmus+. Your class will work on animals. Let’s make a presentation of different groups of animals to learn more about them.

  Each team will work on the animal group of their name: Team 1 mammals – Team 2 fish – Team 3 birds – Team 4 reptiles – Team 5  insects – Team 6  amphibians.

  Go to your animal group, click on it and then click again on the new link.To find information click on your animal group.

  Αυτοί οι σύνδεσμοι οδηγούν σε ένα animal picture dictionary (εικονολεξικό για ζώα) στο οποίο θα βρεις τις απαραίτητες πληροφορίες για να συμπληρώσεις τα κενά στην ομάδα ζώων σου και να βρεις άλλα 2 ζώα που ανήκουν σ’ αυτήν την κατηγορία. Όταν βάζεις το ποντίκι πάνω σε μία λέξη και εμφανίζεται το «χεράκι» σημαίνει ότι θα βρεθείς σε μία άλλη οθόνη με περισσότερες πληροφορίες για αυτή τη λέξη.Σας δίνονται επίσης πληροφορίες με τα μέρη του σώματος των ζώων στο οποίο ακολουθείτε τους συνδέσμους στις εικόνες όπως και παραπάνω.Activity 2

  What’s your favourite animal? Go to https://padlet.com/katekaissi/my-favourite-animal-5jc3vuj5uh7k to write about it. Look at the example of my favourite animal and the poster with helpful phrases to use. There is also a link for the picture dictionary we used in Activity 1.

  Κοίταξε το παράδειγμα με το δικό μου αγαπημένο ζώο και την αφίσα με χρήσιμο λεξιλόγιο. Θα βρεις και τον σύνδεσμο για το εικονολεξικό αν το χρειαστείς.

  Click on + to start. You can do it in teams or alone. If you don’t have time to finish it, you can do it at home. Πατώντας το εικονίδιο με το + ξεκινάς να γράφεις. Μπορείς να το κάνεις σε ομάδες ή ατομικά στο σπίτι εάν δεν σου φτάνει ο χρόνος.

Each team will work on a different animal and will visit different websites but you are so lucky because they are in Greek! Find the information you need to take notes and complete the Fact File in English.

  Activity 2

  To celebrate the World Environment Day on June 5^th your school organizes an Environmental Day for pupils from Erasmus+ and your class will talk about animals in danger and what we can do to save them. Make a poster at   https://jamboard.google.com/   . Don’t forget to use photos of your animals! Your teacher will print the posters to use at the school exhibition.
