The 4th grade pupils wrote poems, made Winter crossword,  winter riddles and a summer word search (credits to my pupils Agapi, Alex and Maria. Great job!)

Read The Winter Wish – a story about a cute little mouse and his wish (Thank you, Maria Emmanouilidou for bringing this story to my attention!)

 There are many poems about seasons:

At the Sea-Side  by Robert Louis Stevenson

When I was down beside the sea    Screenshot_2

A wooden spade they gave to me

To dig the sandy shore.

My holes were empty like a cup.

In every hole the sea came up,

Till it could come no more.

In July  by Evaleen Stein

Let us find a shady wady         u23549447
Pretty little brook;
Let us have some candy handy,
And a picture book.

There all day we’ll stay and play and
Never mind the heat,
While the water gleaming, streaming,
Ripples round our feet.

An Autumn Greeting
 images
“Come,” said the Wind to the Leaves one day.
“Come over the meadow and we will play.
Put on your dresses of red and gold.
For summer is gone and the days grow cold.”

Falling Snow

See the pretty snowflakes
Falling from the sky;             cutcaster-photo-100768288-snowy-house-clip-art
On the wall and housetops
Soft and thick they lie.

On the window ledges,
On the branches bare;
Now how fast they gather,
Filling all the air.

Look into the garden,
Where the grass was green;
Covered by the snowflakes,
Not a blade is seen.

Now the bare black bushes
All look soft and white,
Every twig is laden,
What a pretty sight!

Wake up!!

Wake up, Brown Bear!

The leaves are green,

The snow has melted,  bear_m

The birds now sing.

Wake up, farmer!

No time for rest,

seeds need planting,

baby birds in nest!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
