Σύντομο βιογραφικό

Είμαι κάτοχος Πτυχίου Φυσικής του Πανεπιστημίου Πατρών (1991) και M.Sc. in microwave solid state physics του University of Portsmouth, UK, 1992.

Μετά την στρατιωτική μου θητεία, εργάστηκα ως ελεύθερος επαγγελματίας εκπαιδευτικός και δίδαξα στην Ι.Τ.Ε.Σ ΑΚΜΗ Δυτ Ελλάδας και το δημόσιο Ι.Ε.Κ Πάτρας.

Από το 1997, εργάστηκα σε έργα ανάπτυξης λογισμικού πραγματικού χρόνου για εφαρμογές κινητής τηλεφωνίας (INTRACOM S.A. σε ρόλους μηχανικού λογισμικού, μηχανικού ποιότητας και μεθόδων, υπεύθυνου έργων) για επτά έτη και κατόπιν σε έργα ανάπτυξης εκπαιδευτικού λογισμικού (Ε.Α. ΙΤΥ, στέλεχος ομάδας διαχείρισης έργου) για 3 έτη.

Εργάζομαι στη δημόσια εκπαίδευση ως καθηγητής Φυσικής από το 2006 (επιλογή ΑΣΕΠ 2005) και υπηρέτησα σε σχολεία της Αχαϊας και στο στο Γενικό Λύκειο Καστριτσίου Αχαΐας από το 2012-2013 έως και το 2022-2023.

Από το σχολικό έτος 2023-2024 και έως σήμερα είμαι διευθυντής του 18ου Γυμνασίου Πατρών και τάξεις Γυμνασίου και Λυκείου κωφών και βαρηκόων.

Παράλληλα από το 2011 είμαι κατά περιόδους εξωτερικός συνεργάτης στα έργα της επιμόρφωσης των εκπαιδευτικών στο ΙΤΥΕ Διόφαντος, με κύρια απασχόληση τη μελέτη χρήσης και αξιοποίησης του συστήματος διαχείρισης μάθησης Moodle (εκπόνηση και δοκιμή σεναρίων χρήσης, διερεύνηση των πόρων και δραστηριοτήτων)  και την εκπαίδευση και υποστήριξη χρηστών σε νέα εκπαιδευτικά περιβάλλοντα. Επίσης ως συνεργάτης του ΙΤΥΕ Διόφαντος έχω συμμετάσχει σε αρκετά  ευρωπαϊκά έργα.

Έχω πιστοποίηση Β’ Επιπεδου (Αξιοποίηση των ΤΠΕ στη Διδακτική Πράξη) και ομιλώ άριστα Αγγλικά και πολύ καλά Γαλλικά.

Short CV

He was born in Patras, Greece and granted his Physics Degree by the Physics Department of the University of Patras on 1991 and his M.Sc. in «Microwave Solid State Physics» by the Department of Applied Physics of the University of Portsmouth, UK, in 1992.

He has worked in the telecommunication software industry for Intracom S.A. (partner of Ericsson LM in Greece, http://www.intracom-telecom.com/index.htm), as software engineer, quality manager, project manager and section manager (multi project – program manager) in software projects for real-time telephone systems for 6 years, from June 1997 until September 2003.

He then has worked for the former Computer Technology Institute, now Computer Technology Institute and Press «Diophantus», (https://www.cti.gr/en/), as project management team member for educational software development and procurement projects on behalf of the Greek Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs (from October 2003 until August 2006).

He jointed Greek secondary public education, in September 2006 -after success to nationwide selection competition- as science teacher and served to several schools up to now teaching mainly physics for students 15 to 17 years old. After teaching physics to Geniko Lykeio Kastritsiou a public upper secondary school, (https://blogs.sch.gr/lyk-kast/), in the area of Patras, Greece for more than ten years, he is today principal of 18th Gymnasio of Patras (lower secondary highschool). In parallel, he is part-time external collaborator to Computer Technology Institute and Press «Diophantus», (https://www.cti.gr/en/), working for the Teacher Training Program of Greek Ministry of Education (https://e-pimorfosi.cti.gr/en/). His duties in the Teacher Training Program involve Moodle administration, educational use of Moodle activities and users’ support in using educational software tools.

Moreover, he is (since March 2021) a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Management Science and Technology of the University of Patras.

Since the beginning of his career, he had several publications (through collaboration  with different research teams) and participation to conferences and extracurricular school activities (see below).

Recent research interests include: Teams’ and individual Evaluation, Educational Analytics, Educational Programs’ evaluation, Moodle & LMSs, STEM education.
