As part of the Erasmus+ mobility in Białystok, Poland, within the framework of the project “Music Gives Unity to Diversity,” an educational activity was carried out focusing on democracy, fundamental rights, and active citizenship.

Foteini Ntanou, PhD in European History and teacher at the Music School of Piraeus, delivered the talk “Legacies of Liberty: Greece and Poland on the Democratic Path,” highlighting the different historical journeys of Greece and Poland towards democracy and their shared European values.

During the interactive workshop that followed, Greek and Polish students worked on scenarios inspired by the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights, discussing issues of equality, inclusion, non-discrimination, and democratic participation, proposing solutions, and exploring how music can serve as a means of dialogue, cooperation, and social inclusion.
