A conference on reading promotion
The European Commission is organising on 27 March 2023 a one-day conference in Sofia (Bulgaria) on reading promotion. The event is gathering Member States’ representatives of the ministries of Culture or Education, relevant public institutions and national non-governmental organisations active in this field as well as organisations representing the book and cultural sectors at European level.

The conference is an opportunity to share examples and practices on how the education system and the book sector are collaborating to implement reading promotion actions in schools at local, national and European level.

The proposed topics could analyze issues like these:

The German occupation and the Italian occupation of the local municipality.
The lack of food that cost thousands of lives.
The resistance movements in those areas.
The stance of the local authorities.

Students of 3rd grade of the 2nd Model Junior High School of Athens reacted creatively to the language challenge of the day (according 1 of the 20 ideas for this years’ European Day of Languages). The students of G class with the help of their English teacher  memorized and recounted a short text (poem / song / story) in a foreign language (English).

Following the rules of sequential structure, they practice on structured programming creating stories they can share on the relative studio [ https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/32317919/ ] .

Aρχικά οι μαθητές  της Γ’ Γυμνασίου θα ασχοληθούν με τις έννοιες του προγραμματισμού που θα μεταφράσουν (λέξεις κλειδιά από το βιβλίο τους).

Στη συνέχεια θα εξετάσουν τις προτεινόμενες δραστηριότητες

Στο τέλος θα δομήσουν το μεταφραστικό τους κώδικα σε Scratch με την καθοδήγηση της καθηγήτριάς τους και θα τον αναρτήσουν στη συλλογή τους.

Η συγκεκριμένη δράση αφορά την τροποποίηση εφαρμογής κουίζ σε Scratch ,  σύμφωνα με όρους που αφορούν τη φυσική δραστηριότητα και τις παραμέτρους που στοιχειοθετούν ένα υγεινό πρότυπο διαβίωσης και τα αναρτούν στην κοινότητα .

Η συγκεκριμένη δράση αφορά τη δημιουργία του σήματος των ολυμπιακών αγώνων  κάνοντας χρήση του περιβάλλοντος οπτικού προγραμματισμού online scratch.

Τα έργα των ομάδων είναι από μαθητές της Γ΄Γυμνασίου.
