2o Workshop

The 2nd online meeting is taking place. The class is divided into inter-state/inter-school groups. We give the students the Worksheet, with guides and links, with information about the EU institutions.. They thus develop the ability to research and develop critical thinking. Recommended video editor, clipchamp, with short video-slideshows and a pdf file with the steps to create a Video. In this way, the students will first acquire theoretical digital skills and then apply them in the effort to create their own group Video, for the European Union institutions of their choice. We tell students to choose and deal with EU Institutions. They can search relevant websites and collect material. In this way they will develop skills of investigation, analysis and synthesis. In this Teamwork process, students will develop skills of cooperation, mutual help and acceptance of different ways of thinking.

STEPS OF CREATING A VIDEO FOR E.E.:

1. We open the website for example of the European Commission.
2. With the tool “Snipping Tool” we create a maximum of 5-7 snippets of images of the website which we save in a folder.
3. Open the “clipchamb” application.
4. Press “create new video”.
5. In the New window we click on “import multimedia”. Insert the image files we previously saved in the same line.
6. We somewhat reduce their duration.
7. And finally we export with a resolution of 420 and save the file.
8. We open “screenrec” specifying the area of the screen that it will copy, without activating the copy.
9. We open the video we made earlier about the European Commission and as it plays with our speech we give facts and information we have collected about the European Commission.
10. When we’re done, stop the “screenrec” function.
11. The video was saved in the “screenrec” files and we can download them by opening them
