Human rights: poems 4

We can resist, we will resist

They cannot control us if we stand up,
We can eliminate their darkness with the light of our hearts.
All we need is will and determination,
Our decisions need to be included in their equations.

Let the fire of freedom and resistance be spread across the world,
Burning bright and gloriously, its flames shall be inquenchable.
They may say we are weak , they may say we are small,
Some insignificant masses with no value at all.

Will it be better if we allow them to enslave us?
Will we feel safer if we live in gold cages?
Deprived of happiness, freedom and free will,
Living under unbearable conditions, lies and false peace.

We have to fight without giving up,
We can prevail, as long as we are one.
Their weapons will not penetrate our shield,
Which is not made of plain materials, but spiritual steel.

No more burning, no more duing,
No submission to depravity.
Instead we should be inspired,
By those who practiced acceptance and equality.

We can resist, we will resist
We must not hide behind smiling masks,
Following the flow, like dead fish,
We are not some wondering, defenseless animals.

Smell of War

Ι dreamt of you holding my hand
I feared of you holding a gun.
I hoped you would give me flowers
yet you gave me a bloody rose
Why stand and make others fall?

Betrayal is called.

Red clouds dancing in a rain of tears
Escorted by the drums of war
Something that once used to seem odd.

Edvard Munch, The scream

Edvard Munch, The scream

All humanity is gone
Where has your self been lost?
Maybe in the wonderland of wealth.
Your true colors wore off.

And what I wonder ιs
When the last one falls
When it’s all said and done
When you’ll have played all your cards
Then what eise would be left to get?

I can see your victory lying on the ground
Blood and sorrow all around
What for?
A chest without gold

You’ve drained the seas
The people’s souls
As if the ocean is just yours

I wish to find a place
Where my spirit can be at peace
I seek an unknown shelter
Where might my wonderland be?
Got lost somewhere along the way
Got caught in the nets of slay
And now I can’t get away

I just want to be loved
But I smell of war.

We are all the same
I won’t judge you by the color of your skin
Either you’re fat, either you’re short,or even if you’re thin.
And I will not judge the way you dress
You are no weirder than me or the rest

My skin might not have been my choice,
But neither was yours, so why all this noise?
It’s not what’s different but what’s the same,
We all play different rules at the same game.

You shouldn’t care if I’m rich or poor
Cause we are all the same and our hearts are pure.
Everyone’s an equal in the blink of an eye.
Everyone deserves the right to live or die.

If we could lift up each other, and know that we all care
If we help our sisters and brothers, there’s a pond that we’ll share.
love is not a color, no hue neither a race
All of our blood is the same, that runs deep in our veins.

Racism is not only a battle we need to fight
It’s an exertion to protect the human rights
Raise your voice and support what you are
fight for equality and never give up.
