Human rights: poems 4

We can resist, we will resist

They cannot control us if we stand up,
We can eliminate their darkness with the light of our hearts.
All we need is will and determination,
Our decisions need to be included in their equations.

Let the fire of freedom and resistance be spread across the world,
Burning bright and gloriously, its flames shall be inquenchable.
They may say we are weak , they may say we are small,
Some insignificant masses with no value at all.

Will it be better if we allow them to enslave us?
Will we feel safer if we live in gold cages?
Deprived of happiness, freedom and free will,
Living under unbearable conditions, lies and false peace.

We have to fight without giving up,
We can prevail, as long as we are one.
Their weapons will not penetrate our shield,
Which is not made of plain materials, but spiritual steel.

No more burning, no more duing,
No submission to depravity.
Instead we should be inspired,
By those who practiced acceptance and equality.

We can resist, we will resist
We must not hide behind smiling masks,
Following the flow, like dead fish,
We are not some wondering, defenseless animals.
