This spring 8 groups, all together about 150 children, of our kindergarten had a very fun day at the ZOO. The largest zoo in Estonia is in Tallinn and it’s almost 80 years old. Tallinn zoo holds the best collection of mountain goats and sheep in the world. There are outstanding number of eagles and vultures and a remarkable collection of owl and crane species.
We had a thematic tour about owls, polar bears and domestic animals, but after that we watched the other animals too. Children listened to the guide and they were very interested of that. At the end of our tour children played a game with the guide and reminded what they learned.
We had a sunny weather outside and children was learning outside the classroom!
