These handprint bunnies are so simple to make and they are SO CUTE! You can make them using construction paper, coloured printer paper, or even plain white paper if you’re in a pinch. This is such a simple Easter craft that you can make with the kids – and the best part is that you probably have everything you need at home already!

Just grab some paper, scissors and a few pens, markers or pencil crayons – that’s all you need! This craft is really simple, super fast, and completely adorable when you’re done!

These paper bunnies are a fun craft for kids of all ages. Most kids should be able to make them all by themselves. Or at least kids that are 6 and up can make them by themselves… my 5 year old still struggles with using scissors. But my 7 and 10 year olds made their little bunnies without any help at all.

My kids had the most fun drawing the faces on the bunnies. I love seeing how creative they are! My 7 year old even added some creative little paws on her rabbit.

After my kids made their handprint bunnies, they played with them for a solid hour. They sat on the stairs and came up with a fun creative world for each of their little bunnies.

• Construction Paper
• Pink Marker
• Black Gel Pen and or a pencil
• Scissors

This is such a fantastic craft when you don’t have many craft supplies on hand! We used construction paper, but any paper will work.

I like using a black gel pen to draw the faces, but any pen, pencil crayon or marker will work.

Start by tracing a handprint – BUT you have to make the handprint a little fatter than you normally would. If you trace tightly around the fingers, the ears and arms will be super skinny.

Maybe not quite as fat as what I’m showing in the photo below, but definitely fatter than the fingers really are. You can watch how I traced the handprint in the video above.

Cut out the handprint. Make sure you have a V at the bottom between each finger (rather than a curve).

This next part is optional, but it really helps make the bunny more proportional.

Cut a small slit beside the baby finger. You want the bottom of the cut to line up with the bottom of the space beside the thumb.

Once you cut the slit, the baby finger will look a bit crooked. So feel free to trim that baby finger a little to fix the shape.

Next, you can fold down the baby finger towards the center to make one of the bunny arms.

Then fold down the thumb towards the center for the other bunny arm. I like to fold them so the two hands “touch” in the middle.

Cut off the middle finger so you’re left with two finger “bunny ears”.

Use a pink marker, pen or pencil crayon to draw the pink parts of the ears. Then draw an oval for the rabbit’s nose.

Using a black gel pen, regular pen or marker, draw the rest of the face – eyes, whiskers and mouth. (See below for a few different face options).

Finally draw two little paws at the bottom of the handprint to make the bunny’s feet.

And you’re done!

The crazy part, was that after I added the marker to the bunny ears, both ears curled upwards on their own as the marker dried. I didn’t plan it at all, but I love how the curved ears add character!

You can give your Easter bunny any face you like! Here are the five faces I came up with (see the photo below).

Think of your favourite emojis when you’re drawing the faces. You can make happy, surprised, excited, sad, angry or confused bunnies. You could even add heart eyes.

These bunnies are so much fun to make for Easter! They’re super simple and great for kids of all ages.

Paper Handprint Bunnies

Make these handprint bunnies using any kind of paper, any kind of pens, pencil crayons or markers and a pair of scissors. That’s all you need!
