eTwinning is much more than a European educational programme—it is a vibrant community where schools collaborate, innovate and learn together across borders.
Since joining the eTwinning community, I have had the opportunity to work alongside dedicated teachers and enthusiastic pupils from different European countries, designing meaningful projects that promote creativity, communication and intercultural understanding. Through collaborative activities, our pupils develop not only their English language skills but also essential competences such as teamwork, digital literacy, critical thinking and active citizenship.
This page presents the eTwinning projects that my pupils and I have had the pleasure of creating together with our European partners. Each project reflects our commitment to learner-centred education, meaningful collaboration and the creative use of digital technologies to enrich the learning experience.
I hope these projects inspire fellow educators to embrace international collaboration and encourage pupils to become confident, responsible and open-minded global citizens.
Our eTwinning Projects
🎄 Christmas Cards and Traditions (2023–2024)
Our first eTwinning project brought together schools from Greece and Portugal to explore Christmas traditions through creativity, communication and cultural exchange.
Pupils introduced local customs, exchanged handmade Christmas cards, shared festive songs and traditions, while discovering both the similarities and the unique characteristics of Christmas celebrations across Europe.
Awarded the eTwinning Quality Label, the project provided authentic opportunities for pupils to practise English in meaningful contexts while developing intercultural awareness, creativity and digital skills. Above all, it demonstrated how simple collaborative activities can build friendships and bring children from different countries closer together.

🦸 Everyday Heroes: Discovering the Power Within (2025–2026)
This international project encouraged pupils to reflect on the true meaning of heroism and discover that heroes are not only fictional superheroes but also ordinary people who make a positive difference in everyday life.
Working together with partner schools across Europe, pupils explored values such as empathy, courage, responsibility, cooperation, inclusion and respect. Through collaborative storytelling, digital creations, research activities and local community actions, they realised that even small acts of kindness can have a meaningful impact on society.
The project integrated English language learning with digital literacy, citizenship education, environmental awareness, art and creativity, enabling pupils to develop key competences while becoming active participants in their communities.
Eligible for the eTwinning Quality Label, Everyday Heroes reflects our belief that education should empower children not only to acquire knowledge but also to become compassionate, responsible and engaged citizens.
