1st Transnational Project Meeting in Poland – 7th to 9th of November 2017

Our S.T.E.A.M. 1st T.P.M. took place in Szkola Podstawowa, im. M. Kopernika w Czaslawiu, Raciechowice.

TIMETABLE OF THE TRANSNATIONAL PROJECT MEETING

• Tuesday, the 7^th of November ‘17

All guest partners arrived at Krakow airport and were transferred to Czasław coordinating school. After the first greetings and introductions, the STEAM team started working on the project as follows:

Discussions concerning,  A. Partner tasks and activities,  B. Financial and administrative information, and C. Mobilities took place.

  A. Partner tasks and activities. Based on that theme, agreements were made and several activities were undertaken.

• Wednesday, the 8^th of November ‘17

Partners arrived at school, had a tour around the classes that will actually work on the project. They then exchanged ideas with all Polish teachers, focusing on the project implementation and redefining the tasks to be materialized. Afterward the STEAM team started talking about:

B. Financial and administrative information. Based on that theme, all partners were informed of the obligations and documents needed to be kept at each partner school.

On the same evening, all partners attended the Polish Independence Day Celebration.

• Thursday,  the 9th of November ‘17

Over this last day, partners talked about:

C. Mobilities and particularly about the upcoming mobility to Spain. They also arranged the first two years mobility dates, as follows:

End of the first day

• Sunday, the 30^th of September ‘18 

On this day, cultural activities took place.

All STEAM partners had the chance to visit the Acropolis hill and the Acropolis museum. On the same evening they visited the Niarchos Cultural Foundation Center.

End of the second day

Monday, the 1st of September ‘18    

            All partners were at school at around 09:00 hours. They were given a short tour around all classes and afterwards presented their schools and countries to all school pupils.

1. Financial and administrative information 

Partners were reminded once more to have:

Close communication and monitoring

• Costs eligible if made within the project duration

• Keep records/documents/copies of receipts in school for at least 5 years after the end of the project (Project budget diary)

• They were told to pay specific attention to: 

• Checks by National Agency

• Remember to submit the : Interim report check (with products) to request 2nd instalment (one country has already done it)

• Final report check (products, quality, results, impact, quality of LTTA arrangements and recognition of learning outcomes, diffusion)

• After final report, to receive the last instalment

• If final report receives grade below 50/100, instalment will be reduced

• Documents check (certificates, participants lists, receipts etc.) should be handy on the spot check, during project implementation/after the completion for 5 years time

• All of the partners have received the 40% from our NAs (advance)

• Interim report to prove 70% of the advance is spent, in order to get the rest 40%.
• All of us to keep at school, records for 5 years after project end

• AFTER EVERY TRAVEL, EACH PARTNER KEEPS:

The visitors arrive at Tartu coach station at 17.00 (Spain); 17:30 (Greece, Poland),  19:30 (Italy).

Each project day starts for kids with the first lesson at 8:30. The STEAM activities start and teachers arrive at 9:30. (NB! 3 of the 11 teachers will arrive at school every day at 8:15 with Jaak-Albert for logistic reasons)

4th L.T.T.A. MEETING MINUTES

The fourth L.T.T.A. of Erasmus+ project entitled “STEAM Children Engineers Academy” (2017-1-PL01-KA219-038281_2) took place in Egaleo, Greece, from the 11^th of November to the 15^th of November 2019, hosted by the 6^th Primary School of Egaleo, partner school, of the STEAM strategic partnership.

DAY 0 – 09.11 (Saturday) Polish team arrived at Eleftherios Venizelos airport, at 11:35.

DAY 0 –  10.11 (Sunday) Teams from Estonia, Spain and Italy arrived at Eleftherios Venizelos airport.

Each project day started for kids with the first lesson at 8:15. The STEAM activities started at about the same time and finished at 13:15 for the three first days apart from Thursday and Friday of the 14th and 15th of November, respectively.

 

DAY 1 – 11.11 (Monday)

10:00 – 11:30 Welcome ceremony from the 6th grade STEAM pupils. European Anthem. Traditional dances. Partners’ countries and schools introduction to the Greek school pupils, took place.

The Magic Kettle: Steam Pupils watched a video on Kettles.

Workshops/Activities:

1. Pupils wrote their answers on a leaflet, based on the video they watched.
2. All pupils depicted the story on carton paper drawing and painting, kettles and pots.

STEAM Technology/Mathematics – Workshop

Activity 2.

Pupils participated in a Treasure Hunt game. Separated in teams, had to use their tablets/mobile phones in order to „read“ the QR codes and their secret messages. Following the instructions, they used kitchen utensils in order to prepare truffles. They made truffles, arranged then in trays and prepared them for next day’s event.

The whole procedure included Coding/Algorithm/Basic Technology terms.

Walking tour around some beautiful spots of Athens. (Syntagma Square, Houses of Parliament, National Garden, Kallimarmaro Stadium (The one that the first Olympic Games took place), Olympias Zeus temple, Plaka.

08:15 -09:40 Foreign STEAM pupils and teachers from Spain attended a Greek Language course, in the 6th grade, learning the Greek Alphabet and writing their full names in Greek.

Activity 1.

 STEAM Teachers and all STEAM pupils, were gathered at the school auditorium.They programmed their teapot-robots to serve tea and offer truffles to the attendees. Parents’ council delegates, Greek STEAM pupils’ parents, Municipality delegate, University Professors and students from the I.C.T. University of Athens attended the event

12:35-13:15 Foreign STEAM pupils and teachers from Italy attended a Maths course in the 6th grade.

Departure from Egaleo to Diakofto, Peloponnesus. Boarding on the 11:30 Cog Railway (Odontotos train), an engineering miracle of the 19th century. Info on its engineering operation. Train journey to the historical city of Kalavryta and lunch at a local tavern. Departure for Corinth Canal and walking on the spectacular bridge over it.

 

DAY 5 – 15.11 (Friday)

08:15 – 10:00 Memorial Ceremony with the participation of all grades pupils along with all STEAM pupils and teachers.

All STEAM teachers along with pupils went to the Acropolis rock, by metro
