V.E.M. SRLs is a SME formed by a team of young people who have decades of experience in the field of education,
vocational training and new technologies; V.E.M. is recognised as an effective, efficient and gender proactive institution for
the promotion and development of the labour market sector in Calabria. The philosophy of education at V.E.M. is based on a
holistic conception of education that focuses on all aspects of the human experience including the importance of dialogue
and interculturalism. Our mission is to give people the forward-looking knowledge, skills and competences they need to
innovate and prosper in all sectors. V.E.M. endorses a student-learning pedagogy methodology that acknowledges the
importance of differentiated learning and instruction. We believe in the importance of all kinds of research including
academic and action-based research which produces tangible results. V.E.M. strives to achieve the highest quality
standards in education.
Since its inception, V.E.M. has been very actively involved in vocational education, higher education, teaching, work
placements and internships. It has a deep experience working with EU programmes. Among others we have extensive
experience with the predecessor of Erasmus+ (LLP), and we have been very closely following the changes in the new
programme. It has established networks and affiliations with a wide variety of international industry and academic
organizations to enable it to work collaboratively in delivering high-quality programs in all areas of teaching and research.
V.E.M. deals also with social care, the improvement of the quality of existing educational system (pre-school, elementary,
secondary and lifelong education ), as well as the development of a society which learns through participation and
development of projects. Moreover we organized and managed several courses for school inspectors, headmasters,
teachers about new methodological approaches in school education.
