Continuing our project “Talos travels all around Ancient Europe”, and after having constructed the robot, it was time to “program” it so that it could perform the tasks we wanted. We discuss how a robot does not have human functions, such as eating or sleeping, and that it does not possess emotions. The children are asked what they want their robot to be able to do, and we observe images on the internet. Then, using the DeepAI AI generator application, the students watch their ideas turn into images. With appropriate questions, we encourage them to reflect on the use of the robot. Is it useful? Is it safe? Whom might it replace? What will our life be like if we do nothing, or if the robot replaces our friends or workers?
Afterwards, the children draw what they imagine their robot to be, and we upload their creations to the Mosaically application, using the Phaistos Disc, creatively reimagined as a data disc.

Είναι χρήσιμο; Είναι ασφαλές; Ποιον θα αντικαταστήσει; Πώς θα είναι η ζωή μας αν εμείς δεν κάνουμε τίποτα ή αν το ρομπότ αντικαταστήσει τους φίλους μας ή τους εργαζόμενους;
Έπειτα τα παιδιά ζωγραφίζουν αυτό που φαντάζονται για το ρομπότ τους και ανεβάζουμε τις δημιουργίες τους στην εφαρμογή mosaically χρησιμοποιώντας τον δίσκο της Φαιστού με φαντασία σαν ένα δίσκο δεδομένων.
