In November we approached articles in newspapers or magazines as media.
We Clicked on the Wise Owl to hear her message
In activities that included newspaper or magazine articles, pupils looked for answers to the following questions:
- Author – who wrote the article?
- Format – What has been done to get our attention?
- Audience – Who was the target audience for that content?
- Content – What values or opinions wererepresented in this message? Was that message real?
- Purpose – What was the purpose of that message?
While studing articles in newspapers
The by-product of the action would be a collaborative online newspaper with articles on the professions.
Pupils talked about the professions they would like to do when they grow up, as part of the preparation prior to writing articles for professionals with hats to be published in an online newspaper.
After that we invited professionals to talk to our pupils about their job. They interviewed them and gothered information for their articles.
and then they watched an animation with various professionals, who tried to disorient them
Finally, they co-create The Newspaper of the Professionals , writing articles for various professionals and illustrating their online newspaper
…and then they met each other with pupils from partners schools in an online pantomime game
