The vision of our school is extroversion, social inclusion of students, and the development of activities involving teachers, students, parents, and the community. Our goal is the comprehensive, harmonious, and balanced development of the intellectual and psychosomatic capacities of students, so that, regardless of gender and origin, they have the opportunity to evolve into well-rounded individuals, live creatively, successfully handle various situations, and seek solutions to life’s problems responsibly, in an atmosphere of constructive dialogue and collective effort.
Within the framework of our school’s vision for extroversion and social inclusion, we place particular emphasis on sustainability and environmental awareness through the annual implementation of environmental education programs.
In this context, the primary objective of the previous project KA210-SCH-BFFF0E34 “Go Green! Travel Green!”, which we submitted last year (with a score of 90/100), was the substantial participation of students in school life, the creation of more attractive conditions for all students, especially those with fewer opportunities, and the internationalization of the school unit through activities that promote sustainability. Additionally, in the past, we implemented a previous Erasmus program (KA1 2020-1-EL01-KA101-077940 – “Innovation and New Technologies in Education: A Creative and Productive School: ‘School Staff Mobility’ 2020/2021”), where two teachers from our school attended a seminar focused on informal teaching methods. The aim of this structured seminar was to improve the level of education provided by enriching the curriculum and renewing teaching methods, making it more appealing to our students. The participating teachers developed skills in applying innovative learning and teaching methods and integrating them into daily teaching practices, such as informal education, ICT tools like brainstorming, collaborative teaching methods, student interaction, active learning, flipped classroom techniques, role-playing, video creation, and more.
Following our vision, we have planned student and teacher exchanges for the current year with accredited schools in Spain and Poland as part of cultural programs approved by the Secondary Education Directorate. Finally, it should be mentioned that five teachers have experience in implementing European programs.
