Our school, as part of the European school electronic twinning program eTwinning, is implementing two projects throughout the entire academic year.
The title of this year’s collaboration for the 10th grade (A’ Lyceum) is “Youth for Human Rights: Exploring and Defending Human Rights in Europe.” This project focuses on understanding, promoting, and defending human rights within a European context. Its aim is to empower students to become human rights advocates by exploring the current state of human rights in their own and other countries, especially where these rights are under pressure or violated. Students will collaborate cross-border to develop awareness campaigns, school exhibitions, share research knowledge on the school’s website, exchange cultural experiences, and propose solutions for human rights violations.
This collaboration will be carried out with the following schools through the participation of the following educators:
- Cristina Costa Thiele, Johannes-Brahms-Schule Pinneberg, Hamburg – Germany
- NURCAN İlhan, Çemberlitaş Anadolu Lisesi, Istanbul – Turkey

For the 11th grade (B’ Lyceum), the title of this year’s collaboration is “Addiction isn’t Fiction.” This project focuses on addictions, whether substance-related or behavioral, which impact people worldwide, particularly the youth. In this eTwinning project, students from various countries will come together to explore, understand, and address the complex issue of addiction in today’s world. Through research, collaboration, and awareness campaigns, participants will deepen their understanding of the causes, effects, and prevention strategies for different types of addictions, including substance abuse, gaming, social media, and more.
