30th of January: pupils celebrate and honour their saints and protectors

The 30th of January is a day dedicated to the 3 protectors saints of all pupils, Saint Basilios, Saint John and Saint Gregory. They were great scholars who studied all the sciences in Athens, Greece.

Do you know that a famous Byzantine emperor studied with them at the same Athenian school? He was their friend at first but then he got angry at them because he wasn’t a Christian. Guess who!
