PASS THE WORD- WHISPER CHAIN
Focus: Listening and pronunciation.
You will need: sentences on slips of paper (see below)
How to play:

Students sit in a circle or row.
-
You whisper a sentence (e.g., The cat is hiding under the bed) to the first student.
-
They whisper it to the next, and so on.
-
The last student says it out loud — then compare with the original!
🤣 It’s quiet… but can end in funny misheard sentences!

VOCABULARY DETECTIVE – PICTIONARY
Focus: Vocabulary revision, deduction.
You will need : flashcards, paper and marker or small white board
How to play:

One student gets a word (on a sticky note or card) and must describe it using only written clues or gestures (no voice!).

Others guess by writing their answers or raising their hands to say them.

Great for quiet thinking and creative description!
WORD MAKING
Focus: Letters, spelling, co-operation
You will need : bottle lids, ropes, flashcards, paper and marker
How to play:
-
Teacher prepares bottle lids with the alphabet (4 sets)
-
Makes circles on the ground with ropes and puts 2 sets in each
-
Students make 2-3 teams
-
A student picks a flashcard.

The teacher writes the word on the paper.
-
The team who finds the letters and forms the words first wins.
QUIZ
Focus: reading, listening, comprehension, co-operation
You will need : quiz questions on slips of paper, a timer
How to play:

Teacher prepares questions on slips of paper

Students makes two-three teams sitting on the ground in a circle
-
Teams play in turns, each one for one minute,
-
A student picks a flashcard, reads the questions, the team answers
-
The team who answers more questions in 5 rounds wins.
