The general objective of the project is to change the perception and attitude and to raise the motivation of students to
learn the STEM area, as all five partner schools (two schools from Turkey, one from Greece, one from Spain, and one
from Croatia) have the same common problems, STEM study areas are estimated to be very difficult,
incomprehensible, irritable and uninteresting.
Most students are faced with many other difficulties, such as coming from rural areas, lower socioeconomic status, or
having difficulties in development. The right to education should be available to all students, so one of the specific
goals is to develop social cohesion and prevent early school leaving and to motivate them to continue their education.
Therefore, the emphasis will be on gifted students and students with disabilities with a poor socio-economic situation or
from rural areas.
We intend to do this by connecting socio-humanities, art and STEM subjects through a series of workshops,
experiments, research, presentations and contemporary teaching methods, and through the use of various digital tools.
We will organize workshops through teaching and extracurricular workshops in physics, maths, geography, history,
philosophy, music, religion, and drama. We will also organize international workshops through 5 mobility for students
and teachers from 5 partnering schools.
That is why we want to develop the basic skills of students in literacy, language, digital and communication skills
through innovative interdisciplinary learning by linking the STEM area with the socio-humanist and artistic area. This
experience can have a major impact on student future work, faculty selection and employment as active European
citizens. Through the project we want to share experiences with other pupils and teachers from partnering schools and
promote international heritage and culture.
Project activities directly and indirectly involve staff and teachers from five partnering schools, all respective students,
their parents, local communities and founder representatives.
The schools will learn, collaborate and share learning activities on the eTwinning platform and social groups.
Contemporary methods and forms of teaching in the project will be used: research, learning through problem solving,
dialogue, creative writing, project learning and play.
We believe that the project will result in a change in perception and attitude and better motivation for learners to learn
STEM area and will better develop literacy, language, presentation and digital skills and accept diversity.
The final product of the project will be a brochure and website for teachers and future students, including examples of
good practice, successful methods, interesting curricula and program workshops that will be available on the school
web pages and eTwinning. During the project, presentations, videos, logo, project souvenirs, brochures, leaflets for
parents and the local community will be made, and materials will be adapted to students with dyslexia. A webinar on
eTwinning will be organised after the end of the project, in which all partners will participate to present the project to the
wider community and introduce colleagues to an example of good practice and innovation.
We believe that the project will contribute to the mutual international co-operation of local authorities.
Schools will enrich their offer with modern and effective learning methods, show interest in international school
collaboration and thus confirm that it is a desirable place to learn and work. The project will contribute to new
opportunities for all interested parties: further collaboration on the eTwinning platform or the start of the new Erasmus +
project. It will contribute to change and progress in student life with new experiences, ideas, methods and forms
adopted through international workshops.
