The General Secretariat for Greeks Abroad (GSGA) announces the hospitality program of children of Greek origin aged 8-12 (at departing time children must not have turned 12 years of age) at its camps in Malesina (Prefecture of Fthiotida, Central Greece). The program will be held from 12-07-2010 to 26-07-2010.

Deadline for lodging application forms and all relevant documents is the 29th of March 2010.

“Routes in Teaching Modern Greek” is a distance training course of the Centre for the Greek Language (Thessaloniki – Greece) addressed to Greeks leaving abroad and non-Greeks who are involved in teaching Greek as a foreign language.

Its aim is to keep teachers up-to-date with developments in teaching foreign languages, and in particular Greek, to help them acquire the knowledge and teaching skills required for language teaching and to train them in the methodology https://blogs.sch.gr/grsydn/?p=104&preview=trueof teaching Greek as a foreign language at all levels and to all age-groups.

The course takes place every year from June to next May. It lasts approximately 11 months and it doesn’t involve any fees.

The course is consisted of six modules, each comprising 2-4 units. The modules cover the following subject areas:

1. Topics in Language Teaching
2. Computer Assisted Language Learning
3. Teaching Grammar, Vocabulary and Pronunciation
4. Teaching Languages to Children
5. Assessment of Language Performance
6. Aspects of Language

The development of the course has been the product of the collaboration and the contributions of notable and experienced applied and theoretical linguists, philologists, educationalists and competent computer scientists. The on-line environment in which the course operates is user-friendly, easily accessible, and offers options that have been designed to address the trainees needs with efficiency and immediacy.

To attend the course for 2010-2011 please download and fill in the relevant application form below. The deadline for application forms submission is the 16 of April 2010. Bear in mind that priority will be given to the first one hundred (100) applications. Thus, if you really want to attend the course please submit your application form as soon as possible.

Η Ε2 Διεύθυνση Θρησκευτικών κι Εκκλησιαστικών Υποθέσεων του Υπουργείου Εξωτερικών ανακοινώνει την προκήρυξη Υποτροφιών Θεολογικών Σχολών ακαδημαϊκού έτους 2010-2011. Ως προθεσμία υποβολής των δικαιολογητικών στις πρεσβευτικές και προξενικές αρχές ορίζεται αυστηρά η 31η Μαΐου 2010. Για την περιοχή του Σύδνεϋ οι αιτήσεις μπορούν να υποβληθούν στο Γενικό Προξενείο της Ελλάδας στο Σύδνεϋ (219-223 Castlereagh Street, Sydney 2000, τηλ. 92649130 και email grgencon.sid@mfa.gr).

The Academy of children’s Art organizes for the 5th successive year the Biennale contest with the support of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Greek Ministry of Education, Life Long Learning and Religious Affairs. The Biennale contest will be a chance for the children of the world to work with live and imagination. The Academy is based in the beautiful city of Xanthi-Thrace in Northern Greece and it has already 10 years of experience and success.
