We began a program with European countries and we send Christmas cards, videos, photos and carols.

12 countries take part  in this program with 1 school from every country of Europe!!!

Our program is Sing and Write Christmas!!!

Our names are Michael and Chris and we are  11 years old. Our favorite island is Cyprus.

The capital of Cyprus is Nicossia. Cyprus is in the Mediterranean sea and Turkey

has the northern part.The mountain is Pentadaktulos.

The people speak Greek  and in the northern part  Turkish. The weather  is colder in winter and warmer in summer. The food is the same with ours.

The island is a big open museum.We want to go there!!!!!

Our names are Contsantinos and Nefeli and we are 11 years old.We live in  Greece.We want to talk to you about Portugal.The capital of Portugal is Lisbon and it borders Spain and the Atlantic Ocean.                         Portugal  is a  mountainous country, it has got  a lot of mountains, but the highest is Sierra Nte Estrela and it has got a lot of  rivers like Douro and Rio Tejo.

The cuisine of Portugal has got a lot of  foods like: Grilled Fish, Bream, Bass, Tuna etc.The weather is usually warm.

We think it’s exciting  travelling to Portugal.

China is a beautiful country and the capital is Beijing.They talk Chinese and other languages.

It borders many countries. It borders  Mongolia,Vietnam, Bhutan, North Korea and South Korea.Western China has high mountains, deserts, plateaus. Eastern China has big plains, plateaus,mountains.

Because  it is a big country the climate varies. The Great Wall of  China is a famous attraction. Chinese eat a lot of rice.

In our opinion, go to China to see the Great Wall.

Greece shares borders with  Albania, Bulgaria, Skopia.

The country is mostly mountainous in the North, it has got plains and it has got islands.

The weather is hot in the summer and cold in the winter, sometimes there are natural disasters. In Greece people come from other countries, too (Albania,Pakistan).

Our  names are Nikos and Matina and we’re 11 years old.We want to talk to you about  Australia.Australia is  a very beautiful country!!!Its  capital is Canberra.In the north it shares  borders with Arafoura sea,in the east with the Pacific Ocean,in the west and south with the Indian Ocean.

Australia hasn’t got a lot of mountains,rivers and lakes.The Australian weather is windy and rainy. Austalia has got many kangaroos and koalas!

The Australian cuisine  includes fish,vegetables and meat.

Many Greek people leave Greece and go to Australia to work.

Hi, my name is Emilian ! In this article I am writing about the Eurovision Song Contest. Eurovision is one of my favourite competitions.

Eurovision is a competition in which countries of Europe sing and then all European countries vote for the  best song. At the Final, European vote from 1-7 and then give 8 , 10 and 12 points . The 1st Semi – final was on 22 May 2012 , the 2nd was on 24 May  and the Final was on 26 May 2012 .

The country which wins, hosts the competition next year. Last year the Contest was held at  Dusseldorf  in Germany and the winner was Azerbaijan with the winning song ”Running Scared Tonight ”  that Ell & Niki sang with 221 points.  Second  came Italy with 189 points and third came Sweeden with 185 points .

This year the Eurovision was held in Baku , Azerbaijan . From the first and  second Semi -Final the 20 best songs  out of 46 went to the Final with six more countries (UK , Germany , Italy ,France and Azerbaijan ). The countries who go to the Final with no danger are called  ” Big 5 ” . The UK , Germany , Italy and France give much money to the Eurovision. Azerbaijan went to the Final because they gave money for the stage.

At the first Semi – Final , the countries who sang were : Montenegro , Iceland , Greece , Latvia , Albania , Romania , Switzerland , Belgium , Finland , Israel , San Marino , Cyprus , Denmark , Russia , Hungary , Austria , Moldova and Ireland and Top 10 countries were Romania , Moldova , Iceland , Hungary , Denmark , Albania , Cyprus , Greece , Russia and Ireland .

At the second Semi – Final the countries who sang were : Serbia , FYROM , The Netherlands , Malta , Belarus , Portugal , Ukraine , Bulgaria , Slovenia , Croatia , Sweeden , Georgia , Turkey , Estonia , Slovakia , Norway , Bosnia & Herzegovina and Lithuania .

At the Grand final The Top 10 countries were 10 : Spain , 9th : Italy , 8th : Germany , 7th : Turkey , : 6th : Estonia and top 5 were 5 : Albania with 146 points , 4 : Azerbaijan with 150 points , 3rd came Serbia with 214 points , 2nd came the sweatest grannys of Russia with 259 points and the winner was  the mysterious Loreen of Sweden with 372 points .

Greece and Cyprus missions didn’t came at a very good place . Greece came 17th with 64 points and Cyprus came 16th with 65 points with Ukraine .

On  15th may 2012 Sports Day took place in our school.

It was a cloudy day.Kalamias Primary school,Aigira Primary school and the 2nd Primary school of Akrata participated.

The first sport was volleyball.Then, it was the shot put and then was the 50m.race. After that it was the long jump and then was the football.

The winners were:

2nd place was 2nd Primary School of Akrata

3st place was Aigira Primary school.

We did this menu to show the Polish students our Greek cousine .

These are the most delicious and tasty dishes . We usually eat them every day or on Sundays . They are very easy to make and  they are also very impressive . We hope that they will love our Greek foods!!!
