Her name was Aliki-Stamatina Vougiouklaki.She was born on 20 July in 1934 in Marousi. When she was a child, she had a very bad life. During the war, her father  died. In 1952 she took an examination in a drama school secretly.Her first movie was “The mouse”.She worked with  the theatrical companies “Kotopouli”, “Katerina and  “Kostas Mousouris”.

Her most popular movies, were : “Alice at the navy”, “Liza and the other”, “The girl with the fairy-tales “, “The fairy and the boy”, “Mantalena”.

Her death was on 23 July, in 1996 and all of Greece was sad.

Egio is a big and  beautiful city near the sea. Egio is situated in the north of the Peloponnese and 28.o00 people  live there. It’s near Patra.

The weather in winter is cold and rainy and in  summer it is hot and sunny. Outside Egio there is a lagoon,  a port and a lot of villages.

Egio has got beautiful sights. One of them is  ‘Psila Alonia’ Square. Also, there are ‘Oi Skales tou Filopoimenou’. Finally, there is ‘O Platanos tou Pausania’.

Spetses is next to the Peloponnese in the south-east of Greece.It’s a small island, where 3.972 people live.

It’s not far from the land, so to go there you need just a boat.The island may be small, but there are several mountains and many plants and flowers.

There are a lot of attractions and other nice things, like the museum of Bouboulina, the Posidonio hotel, cannons and mosaic streets.

Tripoli is situated in the centre of the Peloponnese.It is near the big mountain, Mainalo.It’s a big city.In Tripoli, 28.995 people live.The climate is wet and in winter it’s snowy and it’s freezing cold.

Around the city there are smaller  mountains with wonderful forests.

In Tripoli, there are fantastic sights such as the Castle, the statue of  Kolokotronis and Megalo Perasma.

Tzeni Karezi was born on 12 January 1936 in Athens. During her childhood she travelled in  lots of cities, because her parents were teachers.In 1951 she attended the Drama school. In 1962 she married Zaxos Xatzifotiou and  in 1967 she married Kostas Kazakos. They had a son.

In her first role she played alongside  Melina Merkouri and Vasili  Diamantopoulos at the play <<Oraia Eleni>>. She starred in many movies, like: <<Ta kokkina fanaria>>(1963), <<Mia treli treli oikogeneia>>(1965),<<Tzeni-Tzeni>>(1966) and <<Mia gunaika stin adistasi>>(1970).She worked with Melina Merkouri, Vasilis Diamantopoulos, Alexis Minotis and Katina Paxinou.

Thanasis Veggos was born in Neo Faliro in 1927.He comes from Tholaria.He was the only child and his parents were Evdokia and Vasilis Veggos.

His first film was “The Magic City” (1953). Thanasis Veggos is a funny person.He appeared in the films: “O Thanasis”, “I Ioullieta kai ta Loukanika”,”O Thanasis sti Hora tis Sfaliaras”,”Enas Veggos gia oles tis douleis” and “Diktaktor kali Thanasi”.He worked with Koundouros and he acted in many films.

In our opinion, Thanasis Veggos is a popular actor in Greece.

The actor Kostas Hatzixristos  was born in 1921 in Thesalloniki and died on 3 October 2001.He played for the first time after the  war.He married  Kaiti Ntirintaoua.He preformed in theatrical plays.

His first movie was <<Pyrgos ton ippoton>> and the most popular films are <<Tis kakomoiras>>,<<Hlias tou 16>> and <<Enas eksipnos blakas>>.He was also a producer and a director.Hatzixristos was very good in all the movies his starred.

“Rena Vlahopoulou”

She was born in Corfu in 1923. She studied at The Music School of The Drama Association. In 1938 she fell in love with Kostas Vasiliou. After that, she went to Athens (1939) and started her career as an actress. She played alongside Kalouta Sisters and Sophia Vembo. In 1942 she married John Kostopoulos. She was considered << The Queen of Jazz>>.

In 1952, Bill Bournelis, called Rena to sing with Belinda at the <<Queen of Night>>. In summer of 1954 she took her first theatrical role at the play <<Sousourada>>. In 1956 she acted in the Greek film <<Protevousianikes Peripeteies>> which was the first colour Greek film! In 1962, she performed in <<Odos Oniron>, a Manos Hatzidakis’ play.

Rena was honoured with the award Dimitri’s Psathas (1995). Some of her most popular films are <<Hartopehtra>>, <<Koritsi gia filima>>, <<Viva Rena>>, <<Vouleftina>>, <<Pariziana>>, <<I Theia mou i Hipissa>> and <<Komissa tis Kerkiras>>.

She died on 29 of July in 2004, but her movies will go down in history.

Instructions

Mix the mayonnaise and ketsup.Spread the mixture on the first slice of bread.Add the turkey and the slices of the  tomato.Put the salami and the gouda on the second slice of brown bread. Put the second slice of the bread on top.

Ingredients:

1 baguette

2 teaspoons of cream cheese

1 slice of turkey

2 slices of tomato

1 tablespoon of ketsup

a few crisps

Instructions:

Cut the baguette in two slices and spread the cream cheese.

Put the slice of turkey and the slices of tomato on the bread.

Add the ketsup and after that put the second slice of baguette on top of the sandwich

and serve with crisps.

Your sandwich is ready to eat!!
