Yesterday, we organised a presentation about the evolution of “The Olympic Games”.We prepared it during the flexible zone with the help of our teacher. All the students of the 6th class took part in the presentation. The other classes watched our performance as well as our parents…
We started with the presentation of the two flags, the Greek and the Olympic. Then we recounted the facts that happened at the Olympic Games those times. After that, we presented some sports of the Ancient Greece such as, “Long Jump” & “The Marathon”. We also demonstrated some sports of the modern Olympic Games and we sang the Olympic Anthem and the Greek Anthem…
At the end, some of the girls of 6th class danced with rhythmic gymnastics headbands! Due to hard work, we did very well with our presentation…

On Monday, 6th of June, the children of 6th ,5th and 4th grade went to clean the beach of our town, with the help of the voluntary organization “Mediterranean S.O.S.”. We cleaned a big part of our coast line that was about 6000 m2. We got too tired after that but it was worth it!
The truth was that the beach was too dirty, because we collected 20 plastic bags of rubbish ! Now it is very clean to go swimming and have nice summer holidays !!!!!!!! :):)
On 24 May our school went to Messolonghi on a school trip! We started off at 8:00 o’clock, and that was very early for us!!! Then, we arrived at the bridge of Rio-Antirrio but we had a bad surprise there: we couldn’t go accross by the ferry boat. So, we passed the bridge.
After a long drive, we arrived at Messolonghi. First, we visited the Garden of Heroes. There we walked around the Garden and we saw a lot of tombs of some special heroes of the Greek Revolution of 1821 !!! After the Garden of Heroes, the 6th, 5th and 4th class went to a nice Art Gallery at the City Hall, while the 3rd, 2nd and 1st class visited another Art Gallery.

First we visited the War museum and we saw a lot of guns, planes and tools that were used in the past. Then we went to the Acropolis museum. There were the Parthenon marbles. We also watched a video about the history of the Parthenon.
This trip was very interesting. We learned about our culture and we are so excited about this. We can’t forget this beautiful day.
