In this text we are writing about our country, Greece.

Greece is in the south-east of Europe and borders Albania, F.Y.R.O.M., Bulgaria and Turkey. The capital of Greece is Athens.

There’s sea around our country. In the west there’s the Ionian sea and in the east there’s the Aegean sea. Greece is mountainous, that’s why there are lots of rivers. The biggest mountain is Olympus.

In Greece we have hot summers and mild winters. We are known for our olive oil and traditional food like salads, pies, and other healthy food.

There are people from other countries like Albania, who live and work in Greece. Unfortunately, we are having a big problem, a finacial crisis. That’s why many people lose their jobs, become poorer and migrate.

Despite the problems we are trying to have fun!
