In the context of English lesson, students of E class of 13th Primary School of Heraklion implemented a project to get a better knowledge of Greece and their identity as Greek citizens.

First, they learned the 9 Geographical Regions of Greece and, in teams, they searched the internet to find information and photos to illustrate the most important geographical places of each region (mountains, rivers, lakes, islands, cities). They also pointed out interesting places to visit and showed their favourite sights.

Then, students thought about Greek customs and traditions. Working in teams, they chose special days for Greek people throughout the year and they wrote about how Greek people usually celebrate these days. Students also made drawings to illustrate each special day and its traditions.
