Travelling is something I love. With fellow travellers or alone, light or struggling with bulky luggage. Thick clouds below me, waves dancing around, roads unfolding, silvery, ahead. Often exploring arid landscapes, wandering off the beaten track or shoving my way through crowded town squares with quiet corners. Back and forth. Mingling, that is, and reaching out, and risking and getting lost or in trouble and if I’m lucky enough, enjoying the view. Taking it all in, all the same.
Then again, travelling through my students’ eyes, grateful for their thoughts and the bits of information they generously share. Treasuring the moment.
Lost in a film or book ,as well, oblivious to what’s going on around me.
Whether a kind of escape or a destination in itself, learning has always been a haven for me, a highly rewarding process, ever-evolving, leaving me breathless in anticipation, excited.
So, there.
