3rd Project Meeting in Castel Frentano, Italy from May 18 to 23, 2015

In this meeting all of us saw each other again and presented different activities (5th to 8th ones) of our C.A.T.C.H. project. It has been a wonderful experience as it took place in two different parts. The first part was in Rome -St.Peter’s Basilica and outside the Vatican City- and the second part was in Castel Frentano, the Italian host village in the East Cost of Italy. The experience was unique, particularly when all project pupils demonstrated the 8th activity outside St.Peter’s Basilica, using the Body Language. Visit to Rome was an architectural experience for everyone, as the city itself constitutes a fine example of architecture. Pupils and teachers were both astonished at the wonderful constructions of the Eternal City. The second part of our meeting, took place in Castel Frentano, where our partner school is. The whole visit was wonderful as pupils, teachers, parents and local authorities did their best to make us feel like home. In Castel Frentano, we were given the chance to discuss the completion of the first year activities and plan the continuation of the 2nd year ones.

On the above mentioned dates the C.A.T.C.H. project team had the chance to meet each other again in Brussel, Belgium. Apart from attending the Belgian school curriculum, the C.A.TC.H. pupils had the chance to  enjoy the sightseeings of the Belgian capital. Their visit to the Parlamentarium, gave them the chance to see the centre of the European Policy Center. During their staying, they attended the ABC (Art Basics Childen), where they constructed artifacts of residences and commercial buildings.

Among the most interesting experiences, was their visit to Victor Horta’s house, – one of the main Art Nouveau Belgian representatives- where they were informed of the characteristics of this particular architectural style. Before their visit, they had already worked at school, at a special workshop, learning the basic elements, that made Art Nouveau, so special.

There were also presentations of the C.A.T.C.H. 2nd year activities, completed so far, and the whole team defined and scheduled the activities for the next Project Meeting.
