I Have a Dream

Martin Luther King Jr. was a Baptist minister and civil-rights activist who became the most prominent  spokesperson and leader in the Civil Rights Movement in the USA fro  1955 until his assassination in 1968. He believed in nonviolent social change and was inspired by his Christian beliefs and Indian leader Mahatma Gandhi. He directed the peaceful march on Washington, D.C., of 250,000 people to whom he delivered his address, “l Have a Dream”. King won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964. He continues to be remembered as one of the most influential and inspirational African-American leaders in history.

Let’s take a better look at the “I Have a Dream” speech, one of the most influential speeches of the 20th century.
