League of Legends is a MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) game developed and published by Riot Games. The first release was announced on October 8, 2008, and was officially released on October 27, 2009. The game is Free to Play, which means one can play as long as has this game installed on his computer. Also, there are options for the player to buy some heroes or some skins. The game in November 2011 registered more than 32 million players worldwide. It is available in different languages, including Greek from the end of June 2012. Also from March 2013 it is also available for Mac OS X.
In the game, two teams of five players battle in player versus player combat, each team occupying and defending their own half of the map. Each of the ten players controls a character, known as a “champion“, with unique abilities and differing styles of play. During a match, champions become more powerful by collecting experience points and purchasing items to defeat the opposing team. In the game’s main mode, Summoner’s Rift, a team wins by pushing through to the enemy base and destroying their “nexus“, a large structure located within it.

There are also some other gamemodes on different maps, such as ARAM and Twisted Treeline(which was later removed from the game).
ARAM or as its full name declares All Random All Mid is a gamemode that only consists of one pathing and takes place on the Howling Abyss map. It’s still a five versus five game, with random champions given to each team ,and the goal once again is to destroy the enemy nexus. This map is mostly used by pro players and normal players to do a one versus one custom game, or just have fun!

Twisted Treeline was a gamemode with both Ranked and Normal Features. It consists of 2 lanes and a mid section of wilderness. This gamemode was made for only 3 players on each team and the goal was once again the same, to destroy the enemy nexus. This map was completely removed from the game around 9 years after its release.

Also, everyone who plays the game knows this one single clip. It might be the most iconic esports clip of all the time in the league of legend’s community. SKT T1 Faker’s Zed play vs KT Ryu’s Zed. This play had taken part in the old Summoner’s Rift map which was the same as the new one just with the old graphics.
