The 6th primary school was founded in 1928. It operated as a branch of the I th Board of Directors in a rented building in Karaiskaki Square in the barracks settlement from the school year 1929-1930 with 4 classes A-B and C-D. The first teachers were: Rallou Skarlakis for A-B grades and Themistoklis Bassios for C-D grades.
The construction of the old school building began in 1931, on the plot of the current school. The inauguration took place and it began operating in September 1932 as a sixth primary school with 6 classes, Mr. K. Kralios, 2 teachers and 150 students. It had a large courtyard, a school garden, a vegetable garden and a tree garden. In 1952 it became a five-class Board of Directors.
The current school building was built on the same site under license number 197/77. In the year 1978 construction began. At the end of the works, it was inaugurated and started operating.
Today it operates as a 12-seater Board of Directors. It is located north of the city of Komotini(capital city of Thrace in North Greece) in the Barracks settlement.
Since 2000 it operates as an all-day school. It has an integration department for students with special educational needs. The total number of students exceeds 260. The principal of the school is Mr. Nikolaidis Theodoros.
