From May 4th to May 6th, 2026, the 3rd Senior High School of Korydallos “Melina Mercouri” successfully hosted Ms. Rocío Mancebo Francisco, an educator from the historic secondary school IES Sagasta, located in La Rioja, Spain. The 3-day job shadowing visit took place within the framework of our school’s European Erasmus+ Accreditation, focusing on the exchange of good practices, digital governance, and innovative pedagogical methods.

The comprehensive program was structured as follows:

• Day 1: The visit commenced with an official welcome and a detailed presentation of the school’s identity and the Greek educational system. Additionally, our guest was guided through the school’s current cultural exhibition dedicated to the “Cretan Renaissance”.

• Day 2: Focus turned to digital transformation. The pedagogical team presented the structure of Digital Governance in Greek education, demonstrating the operation of official platforms such as myschool and gov.gr. Later, Ms. Mancebo Francisco attended an English language session utilizing the CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) methodological approach.

• Day 3: The final day combined philosophical reflection and modern teaching trends. Our guest participated in a Philosophy class where students and teachers actively debated the Ethical Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Ms. Mancebo Francisco then delivered a presentation on the methodology of Game-Based Learning. The day concluded with a student-led tour highlighting our school’s aesthetic and environmental upgrade project, “Nail the Walls” (Καρφώστε τους Τοίχους), and an official exchange of commemorative gifts.

This highly successful mobility reinforces our commitment to opening our school to the European community. Both institutions expressed a strong mutual interest in establishing a long-term strategic partnership, and we look forward to future reciprocal visits and collaborative educational projects.
