Our school
Our school is located at the foot of Mount Parnitha, in Acharnes and it is a modern democratic school that aims at the all-round and harmonious development of the intellectual and mental powers of our students and at the creation of personalities possessed by the high ideals and values of Education.
We aim to provide comprehensive knowledge, to exercise the kind of critical thinking that leads to the formation of a character with a developed sense of social and individual responsibility, to cultivate sensitivity and to enrich the mental world of our students with meaningful and useful experiences.
Among the intended goals are the formation of healthy bodies and the formation of people with critical and creative thinking according to the demands of our modern society. We strive to provide high quality education at all levels and to develop a culture that will characterize our school in all areas.
Our city (Acharnes – Athens – Greece)
The city of Acharnes, is a region of northeastern Attica and part of the urban complex of Athens, 12 km. north of the center of Athens. It is one of the oldest municipalities of Athens for which Aristophanes’ comedy “Acharneis” (425 B.C.) was written, which is the oldest Greek comedy that has survived in its entirety.
In Acharnes there is a vaulted Mycenaean tomb from the 13th B.C. century, a rare find for Attica, which is preserved in fairly good condition and its findings are exhibited in the National Archaeological Museum. There is also an archaeological collection that houses finds from excavations in the wider area in the Archaeological Collection of Acharnes as well as the Historical and Folklore Society of Acharnes, where there is a variety of exhibits of popular culture from the most recent times.
According to a relevant research, the tomb of the ancient tragic poet Sophocles has also been discovered at the foot of Mount Parnitha.
Our kindergarten is located at the foot of Mount Parnitha, at 42 Yiannis Vlachoyiannis Street, in the area of Boskiza of Acharnes.
