On the 23th of April Estonia celebrated St.George’s Day, then Estonians make St. George’s Night’s bonfires, organize torchlight processions and special running and orienteering races, to mark the famous uprising of 1343.
Aruküla kindergarten arranged for children a running competition with “torches” too. The kids ran around the kindergarten. At the beginning older children and after younger, all together 165 runners. Teachers helped and encouraged them. Also teddy-bear mascot from local sweet factory visited our outdoor activity.
An event was completed with award ceremony where all the children received a chocolate for the participation.
Luckily there was a sunny and warm day for our outdoor sport event!
