Forty (40) teachers across 15 countries including 2 teachers and 16 pupils (13 girls and 7 boys) aged 5 to 6 years old from the 10th Kindergarten of Volos took part in the project. The partners were from
Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, France, Georgia, Czech Republic, Greece, Jordan,
Italy, Croatia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Turkey.
The pupils’ language level was beginners. The project is about Child and
the Environment. The primary aim of this project is to support the
development of early oracy skills in Early Childhood through free play
and organized activities in L2 conducted in outdoor, natural
environments such as forests, meadows, parks, and riversides. The
students worked in mixed teams. The innovative use of ICT enhanced
the process and student engagement, supporting language development
through English listening and speaking activities. Videoconferences,
games, and experiential tasks further encouraged the basic
communication in English.
