It’s a jungle out there-Presentation

Ευρωπαϊκά Προγράμματα

This is the presentation of the eTwinning project our 2nd grade pupils (of the 7th Primary School of Giannitsa) took part in during the 2022-2023 school year. In the presentation you can see the participant countries, the number of pupils and teachers (that is the actual members of the project) and the end products we exchanged with our partners.

A new school project

This year the pupils of the 4th Grade of the 2nd Primary School of Krya Vrysi Pellas are organising a new European  eTwinning school project called “Man and Machines“.  The pupils are going to collaborate with children of the same age from other countries and make common works regarding STEAM education and robots. We are looking forward to seeing the development of their new project!

welcome 2

Welcome to my new teaching EFL blog!

Hello there! I am Matina Siamitra, a teacher of English as a Foreign Language at pupils of primary school as well as little ones of kindergarten!

I hold a university degree in English Language and Literature and a Post-graduate degree in European Literature and Culture. I also hold a university degree in Italian Language and Literature and a M Ed centered on teaching foreign languages and analysing students’ developing interlanguage (For my pupils: This is officially called “Applied Linguistics” , I know lots of unknown words for you here!).

My academic studies reflect my interests as you may have already guessed: reading foreign literature and designing fresh projects for application in the foreign language class, including a twist of digital or even Ai tools (why not?), works of art, intercultural elements, interdisciplinary themes and multiliteracies.

In any case, the learners’ smile, enthusiasm and active participation are THE best ingredients to any “freshly-baked” lesson…so this is what I aim to reach in our learning projects.

I hope you will enjoy reading our blog  posts and get a glimpse of our current projects in class!
