Today class D’ took the survey about the eTwinning project ‘Christmas is coming’, reflected on what they learned and discussed the material gathered by the partner countries during the project.
Now that out project has come to an end, it’s time to reflect both teachers and pupils. So, today, Greek class E’ and the Maltese class both took an online survey about what they liked most about this project. We’re really looking forward to seeing the final results once the Croatian friends take it too.
Our eTwinning project ‘ Christmas is coming’ during which we worked together with our foreign friends from Croatia and Malta has come to an end.
How did you like it?
What was your favourite part of the project?
Let’s think about it and take this survey!
Class D’ had a very happy time today! First they watched the video with the Croatian Christmas carols that their friends sent for them. ‘What a difficult language to pronounce!’ they said.
Then they opened the cards from Croatia. Each one was different with a snowman on the outside, made with care and love. There were Christmas wishes and a few things about themselves. After that, the kids expressed their feelings on video. They all said how happy they were !

Two days ago, class E opened the envelope from their Maltese friends and the cards brought a smile on everyone’s face. Each card was made with lots of love and one was better than the other. Our friends are really creative and have lots of imagination! The Greek pupils were so thrilled that they had recieved them! They also listened to the Maltese carols. It was a really touching moment as the Maltese pupils were signing so beautifully that they made the Greek pupils sing along…

The lyrics of the Christmas carols shared during our eTwinning projects were gathered in two songbooks for the pupils to sing along. Here they are:

Yesterday class E’ sang the Greek New Year’s Eve carols for their Maltese friends and made a video. They held their triangles to show them the way we sing carols in Greece. The video came out wonderful!
They also wrote messages to their friends on this wall and expressed their feelings about the video conference.
Well done guys!
Today class E’ started making Christmas cards for their Maltese friends. They wrote a few things about themselves and wrote wishes in Greek and English.
Aren’t they wonderful?
Class E’ expressed their feelings on the Skype session on paper.

Class D’ has just finished the Christmas cards for their Croatian friends.
The cards came out really nice and each pupil wrote a few things about themselves and Christmas wishes. Now they keep asking me when they will receive cards from Croatia!
A while ago class E’ was talking to their Maltese friends! The atmosphere was so lively! Everyone was happy, despite the bad connection. First Mrs Abigail (the Maltese teacher) talked with miss Eleni (the Greek teacher). Do you know that Mrs Abilgail likes reading books ? And that miss Eleni’s favourite colour is green?
Then, each pupil met their foreign friend and asked them questions about their name/age and favourite hobby/colour/sport. There was a huge smile on everyone’s face during the Skype session and now they’re all ready for the next step: to make each new friend a card!
On this wall the pupils write their thoughts about this experience
Well done everyone!
Christmas is coming! Although this is the title of our eTwinning project this year, it’s also the truth! Christmas IS coming , so class D’ has some serious card making job to do! Today they started making Christmas tree cards for their Croatian friends whom they met last week. Special delivery right up!
Today the Croatian class and class D’ met online! Each pupil talked to the friend that’s going to exchange a Christmas card with. It was an amazing experience for both parties. Although they’ve been taught English for only 1-2 years, they were able to learn a few things about their foreign friends through simple questions such as
What’s your name?
How are you today?
How old are you?
What’s your favourite colour/sport/school subject?
The Croatian class also sang a beautiful song in English that the class D enjoyed very much!
On this wall the pupils share their feelings about the video conference.
It was wonderful how technology brings us together!
Now, we’re looking forward to their carols videos and Christmas cards!
This Tuesday class D is meeting their Croatian friends on Skype for the first time. So, to get a bit prepared they rehearsed the questions they’re going to ask them. They’re excited and really looking forward to meeting them!
