Το 4ο Λύκειο Τρίπολης ξεκινά την υλοποίηση διετούς προγράμματος Erasmus+ (KA02) σε συνεργασία με το Γαλλικό σχολείο Cité scolaire du Pré Saint-Sauveur, που είναι και το συντονιστικό, το Σουηδικό σχολείο Hjalmar Lundbohmsskolan και το Σλοβένικο σχολείο Gimnazija Jozeta Plecnika Ljubljana.
Το σχέδιο έχει τίτλο Simul’ONU- Model United Nations και περιλαμβάνει δραστηριότητες στις οποίες οι μαθητές/τριες δρουν ως διπλωμάτες χωρών διαφορετική από τη δική τους. Στόχος είναι να συντάξουν ένα ψήφισμα που να απαντά σε ένα πρόβλημα. Η δουλειά ξεκινά με μία για μια εις βάθος ερευνητική εργασία εγγράφων που εποπτεύεται από τους καθηγητές κάθε σχολείου. Ο καθένας δημοσιεύει σε ένα συνεργατικό ιστότοπο όλα τα στοιχεία της βιβλιογραφίας που μπορούν να είναι χρήσιμα. Ακολουθεί προσομοίωση και οι αναλύσεις που προκύπτουν, δημοσιεύονται στον ειδικό ιστότοπο. Η συνεργασία υποστηρίζεται και υλοποιείται με αξιοποίηση κάθε πρόσφορης ψηφιακή τεχνολογίας.

In the context of the Erasmus + 2017 project, ten (10) students and three (3) chaperons, teachers of the 4th General Lyceum of Tripoli, participated in the Simul’ ONU project in Saint Claude, France from February 4th till February 10th 2018.
The aforementioned project is a simulation of the conferences and proceedings of the UN, during which students representing a country, other than theirs, debate international issues, social – economic – cultural – human rights, as delegates of that specific country. The conference lasted for three days and the official language was English.France with Lycee du Pre Saint-Sauver in Saint Claude, Jura was the host country and the participating countries were the following : Greece (4th General Lyceum of Tripoli), Sweden (Hjalmar Lundbohmsskolan, Kiruna) and Slovenia (Gimnazija Jozeta Plecnika, Ljubljana).
Our students who participated and represented various countries in fields such as “Peace and Security”, “Health and Environment”, “Society and Finances” were the following: Kamperi Markella (China), Kratimenos Panagiotis (Norway), Belitsos Charalampos (Denmark), Bisbikou Evagelia (USA), Nikitas Kanellos (Russia), Oikonomou Dionisia (Iceland), Paraskevopoulos Georgios (China), Stathopoulou Konstantina (Japan), Athanasa Anna (Japan) and Siakotos Vasilios (Argentina).
From Tuesday, February 6th to Thursday, February 8th in Lycee du Pre Saint – Sauver, our students along with 150 others, 52 in the Erasmus+2017 project (20 from Lycee du Pre Saint – Sauver, 10 from Slovenia, 12 from Sweden) and 98 outside the project (89 from various French schools and 9 from Turkey), debated the issues: “Maintenance of Peace and Security in the Arctic Ocean”, “Ocean Pollution”, “Sustainable development of the Oceans” and suggested solutions.
Our student, Panagiotis Kratimenos, in an excellent practice of persuasiveness managed, using reasoned argument in perfectly structured English, to gain the support of 17, out of 21 countries on behalf of his committee and the support of 21 out of 25 countries in the General Assembly. He was, also, designated as the “Best Delegate” in his committee. Additionally, distinction was gained by : Kamperi Markella and Paraskevopoulos Georgios for the best representation and Siakotos Vasilios for the best suggestions. Our students returned pleased with their participation in the project as they were enabled to:
- be sensitized on current global affairs
- delve into the world of diplomacy through argumentation and negotiation
- master their linguistic, as well as, oratory skills since they had to deliver speeches in front of an audience
