Our 5th grade students made friends and developed an interesting relationship with other English learners at two schools in Italy: Primary School IV Circolo Didattico in Scafati and Scuola Primaria S. Umilta in Faenza through the fun, international Cambridge English Penfriends activity. They designed and shared cards and emails to describe the place where they live, themselves and their school life.
The students took a break from the usual course of studying English. They were given the opportunity to practise what they have learned to communicate internationally and they built their confidence to use English in a real situation.
